In most of the Western world, Halloween is celebrated on October 31. In keeping with the overall spooky theme of the holiday, children dress in costumes and go door to door calling out "trick or treat" and receiving candy from the homeowners. In a retail sense Halloween has become so popular it is second only to Christmas and many homeowners erect elaborate Halloween decorations.

When it is time for Halloween you will need to buy yourself a Halloween costume. But you only need a Halloween costume if you are going to go out tricking and treating. Otherwise you won't need a costume for staying in the house. You will get people that will come tricking and treating and you can give them some candy if you wish. Or you can give them a little scare. The choice is all yours.
