What is Samahin or Celtic Samhain ? It is in reality the word for the month of November in the Gaelic languages and the Festival of Samahin is a celebration of the end of the harvest season in the Gaelic Culture, in general regarded as 'The Celtic New Year'. It is also to be noted that Celctic Samhain was used for a month in the ancient Celtic calendar, in particular the first three nights of this very month denoting the end of the summer season and also of the harvest. Everyone has different holidays that they celebrate, however, it is cool to see how so many of our holidays are just like other people's holidays.
