There are some days in America that are not really holidays, but they are notable days. One of these days is the US Tax Day, which is a slang term used to say the last day to turn in your income taxes for employed American residents. This is a day that is usually seen on April 15th, and is by far not a celebration or holiday of any kind. In fact, if you have not turned in your taxes by this time, this is a very unhappy day in which you are rushing to turn in your taxes before you get into trouble with the IRS.

The year is barely a month old and the world is exposed to the glitz and glamour of Super Bowl Sunday. Each year in the first week of February, or sometimes the last week in January, the two best teams in the NFL get together to decide a world champion. The game has come a long way in 41 years and it has grown to the status of icon as its rightful place in the annals of pop culture.

Is there any day on the calendar that more Americans dread as a group than April 15th? You would be hard pressed to find a date on the calendar that brings out more moans and groans than that particular day and the reason is because that is the day our taxes are due. Most Americans get a refund so all of the complaining is a little confusing but yet there it is all the same.

Super Bowl Sunday has grown from a battle of the NFL's best teams to a sensation that encompasses food, multimedia hype, restaurants, and shopping. It does not matter if the gathering is at a local restaurant or in someone's family room in front of a large television set, the Super Bowl is a bonding time for sports fans and closeness. The amount of money spent by consumers to enjoy this tradition increases yearly, and each year somehow manages to top last year's bowl game.

Although the founders of the United States once protested "taxation without representation," the U.S. Congress has found that a government needs money. Therefore, an earlier Congress agreed to the creation of a tax day, a day when every U.S. citizen must submit an income tax form, one that gives their income from the previous year. Those dreaded forms are difficult to forget.

Usually when someone decides to write or say something different about Super Bowl Sunday one focuses on either the commercials or the wives, those forsaken by their football-crazy husbands. The following story about the Super Bowl does not touch on either of those topics. It is about a very different type of Super Bowl Sunday, one at a home where no adult male watched the Super Bowl.
