The first Monday in September in the United States is set aside as the official Federal holiday of Labor Day. Simply put Labor Day was created by Labor Unions in the late 1800’s to give the working man in the United States a day off after working all summer long without one. To many people it is not only a free day off of work but it can also indicate that summer is on the way out and fall is on its way in.

If you live in the United States then I am sure you are aware and very happy to have the holiday known as Labor Day. The American Labor day takes place on the first Monday in September ever year. This has been going on since 1882 and has never missed a year yet. The holiday has came about from the Central Labor Union who felt that we needed a day off for the working man of America, and I could not agree more. Finally in 1894, Labor Day became a federal holiday thanks to the Act of Congress, and we have enjoyed it ever since then.
