Since anna sui was a child, she wanted to be a designer. She began clipping fashion magazine pages and filing them in what she now calls her Genius Files, which inspire her throughout her career. Studying at Parson’s School of Design in New York, she won a much coveted scholarship at a mere age seventeen. Anna had her first runway show in 1991 featuring Naomi Campbell and Linda Evangelista. In 1995 the first Anna Siu beauty boutique opened in New York City to be followed in 1998 by the opening of her Los Angeles based boutique.
