Have A Party, Pool Party!Nothing beats a great pool party, in the summer, under the sun, with friends or family or both. Everything about a pool party is outright enjoyable, from the idea phase, through the planning, onto the decorations, food, drinks, games, and your most show-off-able summer attire, having a pool party is the bomb. This summer, host your own pool party and make it a day to remember. Have a party, pool party this summer!
Having a party pool side is fun for people of all ages, if planned with your guests in mind and with your own enjoyment too. Step one might be the funniest part of all, selecting a theme for the party. Your theme could be a cocktail party, end of summer party, celebration of summer fruit party, or kick-off-the-summer right party. Pool side. Figure out what you yourself would really like to do, make sure it’s a fairly easy sounding pool party ideas, and you’re ready to tackle step one.
Then you establish your budget. Don’t go nuts unless you can afford it. Your guests might be especially at ease with the funky creativity that goes into low budget party, pool party, planning.
Then you must set a date. Be sure and consider other parties or events that are going on, and schedule around those. Who are the people you’re especially interested in coming? Your best friends that will help you out? Plan around their schedules. Make sure you leave a few weeks for people to put your party into their schedules.
Then you set the place to have the party. Pool options range from country clubs, municipal pools, water parks, backyard pools, or local community centers. Perhaps you have several options, more than one friend with a pool, or there’s more than one pool to rent for your party. Nearly any pool will do as long as you have the room for your party guests to enjoy themselves.
Now make a list of your guests! Start with the “short list”, and then go from there. Expand it as far as your location and budget allow only. If you’re having it at your house, add your neighbors, parents of your children’s friends, and make sure everyone’s going to be anxious to come see the people they want to see.
Step two is to mail your invitations. Depending on your guest list, you might actually use the mail for your party, pool some of your budget accordingly. Also email whenever possible, as most people use email more often than the regular mail any more. Be sure and monitor your RSVP list, and send any updates about your party promptly. A good party, pool or not, relies on having a good idea on how many people you will need to receive.
Then all you need to do is prepare the food, plan the cocktails if there are any, and decorate for your party if you have a theme. Use the internet for great ideas on the standard party friendly meals. Be sure and consider that there likely will be people with food allergies on your list, especially children, and try to plan your food around dishes and meals that don’t contain all the standard offending food items, such as nuts, eggs, and dairy foods. This doesn’t mean not to include them, but do separate those dishes from others equally delicious that are allergen free. Your guests will likely surprise you with thanks for this consideration.
Be sure and provide alcohol free drinks in abundance. Cocktails are fantastic for your party. Pool parties almost always include alcoholic drinks, but with the sun and fun, non alcoholic drinks are a must also.
Then when the date arrives, enjoy yourself! It’s your party! Pool side is the best place to enjoy the company of your friends, neighbors, children and family. With a little planning your party, pool party that is, will be the best of the season.
