There is usually a love forum, so that you can talk about love or post a topic about dating, and maybe what kind of person you would like to meet on the website. You will usually need to be a member of the website before you can view the forum and make posts. But once you are a member, you are free to post and reply to topics all at the click of a button. The forum that you choose to enter will have the members from that site on there, and they may have been posting on there for quite some time. But not all the members will want to post in the forum or haven't even tried the forum yet. These people aren't scared of the forum, it's just that they might not noticed the website forum or don't feel it's necessary to post in the website forum just yet.
As stated before, the forum is not necessarily the place for you to post about your ideas of love. There maybe a love forum somewhere else on the site were you could post about love and dating. The forums are usually restricted to certain types of topics that can be viewed, and if you do post something different, your post may be deleted from the forum and you may get a ban for not following the guidelines which you agreed to when you signed up for the forum. The forums on these dating web sites are a good addition to the web sites as they allow for quicker messages to be sent and received by other members. They also allow for a quick reply if you are in need of a quick reply.
There is not a lot of success in finding a partner when on the forums due to the unprivate nature of the forums, the posts can be read by anyone and if you did want to keep the post private, then there is no way to do that on a forum. This adds to the sense that these should only be used for normal chatting such as off-topic discussions about anything other than dating. Although there will be sections that are designated for that type of topic posting, they have a lot of topics that can hold all types of conversation, not just off-topic and love. Although love would obviously be a good thing to talk about, especially if you are on a dating website, if however you do wish to get in contact with a member of the community, then it is best to send them a e-mail through the free e-mail account that they are given when they sign up for the site. This is more private, so you know that only the person that you sent the message to will read it and no one else will find it and decide to take an interest in your life.
The forums that are on these websites are monitored and anybody that abuses the forum will be deleted from the forum, as well as the posts and threads that they have contributed to the website. However, if it is only a small one time offence like a swearing word used in a post, then that member may get let off with a warning about the future conduct to the website and it's forum. But many people will not abuse the forum and will try to use it as a place where they can try and find the love of their lives.
