Malware (also known as malicious software) is a piece of software that is developed for the sole purpose of causing harm to ones computer. Although there are lots of different types of malware, they all work in similar ways which are intended to make your life suck. See, viruses infect programs and spread when you use that program. Worms tend to be spread by networks, from one user to the next. Wabbits, however less common, tend to by very bad. It got that name because of the way it spreads. When you get wabbit, it does not need you to open it or a network to spread. A wabbit can replicate itself thus it grows very fast. They reproduce like rabbits, very fast, hence the name wabbit. The name sound just the way that Elmer Fudd says “rabbit” on Looney Toons, which adds to the humor of the malware, but does not lessen the damage.

If you ever get wabbit, you could consider yourself very unlucky. That is because wabbits are very uncommon. One of the most well known ones is called a fork bomb. If you are so unlucky as to get wabbit then you may have a very hard time getting rid of it. Because they spread so fast it could be hard to pin point where it is coming from. Not only that, but by the time you realize what is happening, you could be out of room on your computer. Most wabbits do not do any damage to your computer. They just take up all the free space. See, it starts out small, then just keeps making more copies of it self until your whole computer is full. If you have a big computer, it could be a long time before you even see the effects of it happening. Once you get wabbit, it will start to grow, and as it does your computer will start to run slower. Then, why do you not just delete the files? Most of the time it will not do any good. If you miss just one file, it will just grow back.

Why people make malware is not yet clear. My guess is that the person is doing it just to be mean. To ruin someone else's day. The worst place to get malware is on a matchmaking site. I think this is because you are on there looking for love, instead you walk away with a broken computer. I wish that people would grow up and not try to hurt other people, but that is just living a dream world. People are always going to try and hurt people and steal stuff. It is sad that we have to live n a world where this kind of stuff happens. It is sad to think you can get wabbit just by being online.

The best way to avoid this from happening is do not go online. That is the only sure fire way to not get any malware. In this day and age, you have to go online at some time. It is becoming part of our lives. So, the next best step is to get good virus and malware protection. New malware is coming up every day, whether it is in the form of a virus, worm, wabbit, or spyware. That being said, it is not enough just to have malware protection. You also have to have it updated all the time. Most virus protection programs do that for you, so it is not always a big deal. Malware can slip past, even if your protection is up to date. So, scan it every so often to make sure you are not infected. Be careful which sites you visit online. You never know where you will get wabbit. Stay safe everyone.
