My son started elementary school this year, kinder garden more specifically. I learned really has that where I thought he was doing good academically that he was a little behind. I also found out that all kinder garners have to be able to both read and write by the time that they move into the 1st grade or that they will not pass kinder garner. I was a little shocked because the last that I heard about kinder garner is that the kids would of course learn letters and numbers.
