Your child starts screaming in terror - what is wrong? They are scared and afraid of something. Whether it is separation anxiety, using the potty or starting school all children fear something. It is our job as the parent to help alleviate the fears in children and make them feel more safe and secure. We need to let them know that is okay to be scared and those we are here for them.

Every parent knows that children are a veritable Petri dish for the growing of the human imagination. After all, life is new to them and they are born with no preconceived notions of what is real and not real. Children invent their own super heroes, carry on conversations with imaginary friends and ask their parents questions that astonish us because we deem the answer to be obvious, having long forgotten we were once children with similar questions.
