No man is an island. As clicheic and as repetitive this quote might seem to be, it still holds true, and it still evokes great sense. Ever since the dawn of civilization, men and women are naturally created to become social or relational beings. Humans need interact to their surroundings, more so to fellow people, for it will be just impossible to live in total seclusion. Moreover, the beauty of life resides in the fact that we, as humans, can find joy, comfort and help from others whom we can fully relate to and at least share some common qualities, interests or characteristics that we too possess. And the more we live our lives and do some daily human interaction, the more times we will also realize the importance of building human relationships with others so as to make our lives more meaningful and worthwhile.

To find a comrade is one of the greatest desires of humans. Everyone is just seeking to have a true friend, someone who will readily be there whenever you needed him or her the most. This particular need stems out from the feeling of inadequacy that humans feel whenever they face a certain circumstance or phase of their lives that they feel they can’t face alone. It is because of this concern that I have decided to dish out some exciting suggestions as to how someone can totally find a comrade.

First, learn to be you. Love the unique you. Discover more of you. So what is exciting about that? Well, you normally don’t know yourself better than yesterday so usually, your personality gets stagnant. It is very important to realize that it shouldn’t be that way, especially if your greatest desire is to find a comrade. One great characteristic of human beings is that we have bear and possess such colorful personalities, unique traits, distinct characteristics and multifarious talents to share and make this world a much more enjoyable place to live in. Do exciting things. Learn hobbies that you would not have imagined of learning. Seek and enjoy the ride of life’s adventures. You would just be surprised that many others are enjoying the ride yourself.

Second, stay positive. As the popular saying goes, “No one will actually care about you if you don’t show yourself that you care.” Life is really meant to be shared, for you and I do not live in our own worlds. Everyday, you meet thousands of faces along streets and highways, and a majority of them are what you consider as strangers. But everyday is also chance to turn those strangers into brief acquaintances, and those brief acquaintances into friends. And how is that possible? Well, the power to do is just in you. You have the lips to show a smile, and the mouth to speak some friendly words. Start doing this and you’ll be amazed of how many friends you can really make.

Third, express yourself. Share your life. Voice out what needs to be voiced. Don’t be afraid to express your ideas for you’ll never know how much it can possibly help the people around you, much so the world. There are actually many ways to express oneself, and it is up to you to find those ways where you can easily channel the thoughts of the real “you”. Work on a comfortable niche.

Don’t be limited of these three general but exciting ways of how to find a comrade. Remember that we live in a world that is full of possibilities. Strive not to be limited.
