There are people who watch sports and there are people who participate in sports from time to time. There are also people who devote all or a substantial portion of their lives to sports. Most professional athletes in any sport such as baseball and football have started in the sport when they were little. There are many sports that athletes devote their lives to different sports.

It starts when they are very young and continues until they no longer want to compete or cannot compete. The life of a gymnast is consumed by their sport and they brave injury, the elements, and a rigorous training regiment in order to be the best they can be. Some of them go on to Olympic glory and beyond while others are just happy to be involved in such a difficult discipline.
