We all look forward to the Christmas season shared with our loved ones and especially the great dinner that goes along with it. We like to visit and spend as much time catching up with them as we possibly can, but often times, if you are the one hosting and cooking the Christmas dinner, then you spend most of your time in the kitchen preparing and cooking that wonderful holiday dinner. The turkey and ham is one of the most important parts of any Christmas dinner. Buy whatever size turkey and ham you think you will need for your dinner, I usually buy a little larger than I actually need, that way we can enjoy afterwards.

Place in slow cooker, add some pineapple rings to the ham with toothpick and drizzle a little maple syrup over to help juices set in. For stuffing recipes Christmas, simply buy a package of stuffing mix, place in large mixing bowl, chop 1 small onion into bowl, and add a little minced garlic, salt and pepper, 2 cans of turkey broth, fresh or dried herbs you like the taste of, then mix all together. Line large casserole dish with butter cooking spray to keep from sticking and cook at 350 degrees for about 1 ½ hours until top is browned.

The ambrosia you get large bowl put in 1 whole container cool whip, the larger ones, 1 can mandarin oranges, 1 can crushed pineapple, 1 can cherries, 1 cup chopped pecans, 1 pack mini-marshmallows and 1 package of shredded coconut. Mix all together with rubber spatula and place in your serving bowl. Refrigerate and take it out when desserts are to be served. Sprinkle a light dusting of nutmeg over the top of it.

Cut up about 8 medium size apples, the kind of your choice, add 1 cup of chopped walnuts, ½ -1 cup of mayonnaise, you don’t want it to be all mayonnaise, just a nice light coating on apples, 1 cup raisins and mix all well together. You can garnish this tasty Christmas dish with a sprinkle of the walnuts on the top and maybe a few cherries if you’d like.
