Xmas customs can vary a lot from family to family. This can be changes in what they eat for Xmas dinner, to when they choose to open their presents. In fact, a lot of families do not even celebrate Xmas in December. The fact that Xmas Customs change from family to family just proves that everyone is raised differently. This is something that is fine, but one thing that people do tend to agree on, is the fact that they like to spend their holidays with their families. I think that is a great thing because Xmas, no matter how you choose to celebrate it, should be spent with families. For my family, when we get together, we like to eat Duck for Xmas dinner. However, I know a lot of people who do not eat this for their Xmas customs. Also, in my family, we like to open one present the night before Xmas day, however, not everyone does this either. Some families do not even like to give gifts on Xmas. This is because, they know that gift giving is not what the true meaning of Xmas is. Xmas customs are something that each families treats differently. I think this is great because it proves that not everyone has to celebrate holidays the same way. As long as we keep in mind the true meaning of Xmas, then we can celebrate it any way we want to. Of course, some people go as far as to not even celebrate Xmas in December. People who choose to celebrate these Xmas customs are doing it to avoid celebrating Xmas on a day that is going to be advertised. This helps us remember what Xmas is all about.

Maybe you feel that our kids do not know what the true meaning of Xmas customs are for. This is because a lot of kids just look at Xmas as a time to receive toys to play with. To help kids overcome this problem, a lot of families are starting to celebrate Xmas in different months than December. Usually the summer or spring months are very popular for these Xmas customs. They do not want their kids to have to deal with all the big time businesses just promoting gift giving. I think that gift giving, in a way, is a big part of Xmas customs, but it is not the only reason for the holiday. Because of that fact, I think that is is very important for kids to know the true meaning behind Xmas. I would hate for a kid to grow up, and never know what Xmas was really all about. Because of this, I do not look down on the different Xmas customs that people have. The only thing that I think really matters, is that we do these Xmas customs with families. It seems like it is getting harder to get the whole family together to do things as a group. Because of this, I feel like a lot of us tend to grow apart from one another. This is something that Xmas customs are suppose to help stop. If we can remember to follow Xmas customs, then every year we are doing the same things together. This helps us all stay connected, and that is what holidays are about.

I know that everyone has their own way of celebrating Xmas customs, and that is fine. As long as we remember to do it as a family, I think all Xmas customs are great. To me, there is nothing like spending time with family. I hate to see families grow apart, but that seems to be what is happening in the world today. If we are to stop this from happening around the world, we are going to have to adopted a Xmas custom and stick with it. So sit down with your family, and see what kind of Xmas customs they would like to celebrate together as a whole.
