Denzel Washington Has The Complete Package

Smart, good looking, tall, and talented are just some of the things that Denzel Washington has going for him. If you add incredibly rich in there along with popular with the ladies then you have the guy that every man wants to be and every woman just wants. Denzel Washington has been both lucky and talented in his rise to the top but he has earned everything he has achieved.

Denzel Washington is an extremely talented Academy Award winning actor who has shown great range in his ability and great passion for his craft. His ability to make his audience believe that he is the character he is playing has helped to make Denzel Washington one of the most sought actors in all of Hollywood and his ability to put people into theater seats has brought him to the level of being one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood as well. Women love him and men want to be him. He is rich, smart, handsome, and talented. When you sit back and really look at it, who wouldn’t want to be Denzel Washington?

Audiences got their first real look at Denzel Washington in 1982 when he joined the cast of the television show St. Elsewhere. For 3 years from 1982 to 1985 he played the character of Dr, Phillip Chandler and it was apparent right from the start that this Denzel Washington kid was going places and going places fast. After he left St. Elsewhere Denzel Washington had a couple of small roles in some smaller productions but his path to Hollywood stardom was right in front of him and he got on that path when he took on the role of Private Trip in the Oscar winning movie Glory. Glory was a 1989 movie about one of the more famous all black regiments that fought in the American Civil War with a white commander. The movie was expertly written and the acting, lead by such actors as Morgan Freeman and Matthew Broderick, was some of the most wonderful acting of 1989. The Academy agreed and it gave Denzel Washington his first Oscar for best supporting actor for his work in the movie Glory. This was the first of two Academy Awards Denzel Washington would win and he is the first black actor to win two or more Oscars in their career.

After Glory Washington on to many other projects including the Spike Lee movie Mo’ Better Blues. Denzel Washington has always been very open about the pride he takes in being a black man and the pride he takes in being a black man that is finding new levels of success in the entertainment industry. Spike Lee is a like minded black man in that respect and the two hit it off instantly while making Mo’ Better Blues. His pride in his race led Denzel Washington to take on many causes in the name of black pride and also allowed him to be more authentic when he took on the role that he said he personally took a great deal of pride in and that is his role as Malcolm X in the 1992 movie Malcolm X. Even though the movie did not do very well at the box office Denzel Washington thought enough of the movie to name his next son Malcolm.

Denzel Washington is a lucky man but a lucky man that has achieved all of his luck through the talent that he was blessed with. He continues to work as one of Hollywood’s highest paid actors and he continues to do what he can for the advancement of the cause of the black community in the United States. He has gathered as much respect for his dedication to the causes he believes in as he has accolades for his acting and Denzel Washington is not shy to share his beliefs with anyone. As he moves forward and conquers more challenging and significant roles it will be a pleasure to see what Denzel Washington does next.
