Everyone loves to receive a compliment and this is the way to gain attention. If you compliment a classmate regarding something, they will most certainly not think of you in a bad way. Your compliments will be remembered and this will put you in a good light. You may not want to loving stare at a classmate and gush about how beautiful their eyes are. Alternatively, you can give a compliment regarding a report that they did in class, a great play that they made at a sports game or you can tell them that you think they have a great sense of humor if they make a joke. If you classmate does not know your name, after you make the compliment, it is time to extend you hand and introduce yourself. When someone is told something nice about themselves, they are most often very open to making introductions and having a nice conversation.
Always remember that breakups are common in school. If you begin to date school classmates, know ahead of time that a breakup may occur. If it does then happen, you will be better prepared. While painful, time does heal all. With a whole school of potential dates, never allow one person to ruin your High School years.
