Dating Oslo: Not Oslo Fjord

Dating Oslo guys can be easy for many women. Of course if you do meet an Oslo guy - you need to speak their language. Otherwise it could lead to a lot of misunderstandings. Luckily a lot of Norwegians speak English, so there shouldn't be too many problems if you do meet someone. This person that you meet will want to take you around Oslo so that you can see all the tourist attractions that Oslo has to offer to foreign visitors.

A school trip back in 1999 through Europe landed the group in Norway. We were to stay in a hostel in Oslo and study the arts there for a week. Now here was a bunch of ten girls in a foreign country who'd just turned eighteen, lead by a young vivacious first time teacher in a foreign country where the men where built like the David statue - just perfect. We spent two days on schedule surprised to find that over fifty percent of the native's population spoke the Queen's English.

We spent two days on schedule surprised to find that over fifty percent of the native population spoke the Queen's English. We visited museums and theatres and finally in the morning of the third day we attended class at the college of arts and culture. Now when you're a high school student you spend a lot of time dreaming of your college hunk - perhaps in the dating Oslo scene. I know I wasn't the only one who was a little too exited to see handsome, single Oslo guys. What a treat for the eyes.

We learnt much about the dating Oslo culture in Oslo and as we prepare to leave I notice that the Oslo girls were just like girls in my country when it came to the classroom situation. Girls are naturally smart. After this we headed for the cafeteria where I saw him. He was six foot tall with a broad shoulder posture, dark hair and the smile of an eight year old boy. Now I hadn't at the time pictured myself dating Oslo guys. Were there no Oslo girls who would have spotted him and claimed him already?

Well immediately I cancelled the thoughts of him from my mind and zoomed into the group's discussion. We would be leaving to a train station in the middle of town to our next project and we had troubles locating how to get there with the map. One of the Oslo girls, an attractive yet friendly girl offered to help us get there as she would be headed that direction. I decided to take a restroom break as this indeed sounded like a long trip to our next location. I broke away from the group not finding the need to be accompanied. As I turned the corner I spotted him again nearly running him over.

I apologized not wanting to seem like a clumsy Betty. I had noticed that the Oslo girls were not just beautiful but possessed incredible grace in their step. He smiled yet said nothing. Did he not speak English? The flirt in me battered the eyelids and asked if he attended this college. He nods. Part offended I smile politely and decide to end it. I proceeded to the restroom and when I got out to my surprise he stood there waiting for me. He again blessed me with a smile. For a moment it felt like a moment of truth when the heavens ripe open and the angel break into chorus. The day of my greatest romance. He had a soft voice as he asked if he knew me from somewhere. I frowned. He apologized saying he thought I was the girl he had met at single Oslo dating club. He apologized and just walked away. I stood there just drop-jawed. That was my moment, gone.

Really nothing happened in Oslo but that. The guy became the man in my fantasy for a while and I looked up the single Oslo online club many a time until I decided to realize that by now some Oslo girl who may have looked like me had taken this single Oslo guy at a dating Oslo club somewhere in Norway. That's the Oslo girls for you! However this will always be my story of how I missed out on dating Oslo hunk.
