In recent years, families have flooded to Battery City, attracted by the lure of the waterfront and nearby shopping mecca Tribeca and the infamous Financial District.
Harlem, New York: Harlem's is a story of triumph and tragedy, followed by a giant economic boom. Contrary to popular belief, Harlem is actually in Manhattan. Harlem's come a long way from the drug-infested community ravished by poverty between the 1960's and 1980's. Condomiums dot the streets now and you most are marketed for at least a cool million. The Fashion Center is sometimes called the Garment District, the community is home to Fashion Institute of Technology. Dating In Manhattan
In Manhattan, the Upper West Side is one of the more affluent neighborhoods-in fact, it's one of the best in the city. Move here and you'll find a vibrant nightlife, fashions fit for a model and stunning structures and plenty of opportunities for dating in Manhattan. Land one of the condos near your favorite Broadway show for roughly $1.9 million. New York's trademark brownstones are signature staples around here as well.
Clubs and bars are the local crowd-pleasers, but the Upper West Side boasts a special sense of culture. This New York City community has been home to Yoko Ono and Dustin Hoffman.
New York's Upper East Side in Manhattan is one of the most enchanting neighborhoods for New York City living. The best schools in the entire city, like Public School 6, are nestled right in this expensive corner of the Big Apple. Trendy eateries are just as abundant as Ralph Lauren and Donna Karen flagship stores. The community is one of the richest in America.
For the right dollar, there's no shortage of places to live comfortably. Cooperatives, chicallly dubbed co-ops, sell for $1.5 million. Yet, with tree-lined streets and world-famous Central Park nearby, condos and townhomes are pretty popular, too.
