Christmas Presents can be Homemade or Store Bought

Christmas is a very special and exciting holiday. This is due to the fact that Christmas is a time of year to get together with friends and family to talk about old times, eat great and delicious food, and to exchange Christmas presents. Christmas presents can either be store brought or they can be homemade. That choice is up to the gift giver.
Christmas is a very special time of year because it is a time of year where people get together in orders to spend time with their friends, family, and co-workers. When people get together for Christmas they often eat many types of foods from appetizers to side dishes from main entrees to delicious and delectable desserts. In addition to sampling some delicious foods people often exchange Christmas presents with family, friends, and co-workers. Christmas presents can either be store bough or they can be homemade. This choice depends on the mood and creativity of the gift giver. Co-workers often do a Christmas gift exchange at work. All co-workers exchange names and then they buy Christmas gifts for each other; however there is a catch to a workplace gift exchange. The catch is that the gift that is purchased for co-workers can’t be over a certain amount. Usually, the amount of the gift can’t exceed twenty or twenty five dollars. Good gifts for a co-worker gift exchange would be candles, a can of cookies, a compact disc of music, a small box of chocolates, or a small stuffed animal such as a teddy bear.

It is the thought that counts when it comes to giving presents on any occasion special pr otherwise. Therefore, the best Christmas presents are those Christmas presents that come from the heart. This seems to suggest that you really thought about the person who was getting the gift instead of just buying a gift at the last minute. Here is a word of warning: please don’t save Christmas or holiday shopping for the last minute otherwise the presents could consist of beef jerky, a twelve-pack of soda pop, or an assortment of candy bars such as Hershey chocolate bars. If you make homemade Christmas presents you will be able to plan your gift making venture ahead of time and hopefully finish making your homemade Christmas presents in plenty of time in order to get them under the Christmas tree in time for Christmas morning.

When I was a teenager I didn’t have much money for store bought Christmas presents; therefore I would make many batches of cookies for Christmas presents. I would create and bake chocolate chip cookies, sugar, cookies, gingerbread cookies, and snickerdoodles, which are sugar cookies that are rolled in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar. Today, because I still love to bake all year round; I bake many chocolate chip cookies, gingerbread cookies, and chocolate snickerdoodles and give them to my family, friends, and co-workers for Christmas presents. One Christmas I received a handmade blanket and pillow from my friend. I have also received jars of lemon curd with a variety of teas, and scone mix for a homemade Christmas present. I really appreciated these homemade Christmas presents because she thought about me personally when she created the gift. Homemade Christmas presents are very creative and they also delve into the mind of the gift giver.

There are people that seem to have everything; therefore it is very hard to purchase a Christmas present for them. Gift Cards seem to be the perfect present for those hard to buy for people. Gift cards can be purchased for restaurants such as Outback Steakhouse, Olive Garden, and The Cheesecake Factory as well as many other locations such as Banana Republic, Anthropologie, and Macys. No matter what kind of Christmas presents you purchase this holiday season, make sure they come from your heart.
