Catch Phrases Is A Party Game

If you are looking for a fun party game that can get loud at times then you are looking for Catch Phrases. This is a game where you try and get your team mates to say a word that is on a disc by using keywords. The game, however, is not as easy as it sound, which is true to say about any type of board game. This game has come a long way and has grown a lot since the first time it was released. Catch Phrases is slowly becoming one of the most played party and entertainment game on the market today, which means it has to be pretty good.

I do not know about you, but I love party games. My favorite type of party games are the ones that get you really into it. That is why I like the game Catch Phrases so much. This is a game that is going to have to whole room screaming and yelling, but that is what you get when you play a game like this. When you interact with people on this level, you are going to get a little crazy. That is fine, because that is what a party is all about. If you can not go to a party and let lose, then where can you. Now the older games of Catch Phrases discs with 72 words on each side. As the game keeps growing we are seeing some of the older version change just a little bit. However, this does not effect how the game is played. This is still one of the funnest party games that you can play in a big group. Whenever you can get everyone together and get this much emotion out of them, you know that your playing a great game.

When you got to play Catch Phrases, you will need to form two teams. The whole goal of the game it to get your team to say words that are displayed on the disc. One member of the game will start a timer and then try to get the other people to say what word is displayed (that only he can see). Sounds like an easy game, right? Well Catch Phrases like to throw a little curve ball into the mix. There are some rules that you must follow, and some things that you are not allow to say when trying to give hints to your team mates about what the word is. First of all, you are not allowed to say words that rhyme with the word on the disk. You are also not allow to give the first letter of the word to your team mates. Also, you have to be sure that you do not give them the number of syllables in the word either. Another thing you are not allow to do is say the word in a phrase (like you can not say batman, if the word you want them to say is man or bat). Those are the main rules, I know they sound easy, but it is very hard to remember what is allowed and what is not. After your team guesses what the word is, it is the next teams turn. You keep going until the timer runs out, when it does the team left holding the disk does not get a point. A correct answer to a question earns a bonus point. Usually you play Catch Phrases until the first team reaches seven points, but lots of people change that rule to make the game last longer. If you get two good teams playing the game, Catch Phrases can be over in one round.

This is a great game to play with a group of people. It is fun to play, and the only problem people have is that the game can be to short. Of course, with just a little changing of the rules, you can make your game lasts longer, or you can just play a lot of games. It is really your choice. This is a game that your friends and family members are going to want to play time and time aging. So you should run out and get this game for your next get together. You will be sorry if you do not, because this is the game to really get a party going. You will get lost in the game when you are yelling words to each other trying to figure out what the word is. This is a game that should be played on teams that know each other. This will make it easier to get a lot of points.
