As young adults, men and women are given the task of deciding what to do with the rest of their lives. Different colleges and universities will structure their home course options in different ways. Some educational institutions will allow all course work to be completed at home. Some may allow students to complete assignments at home but require exams to be taken on campus. Others will offer a hybrid option. This option allows students to choose whether they want to attend classes on campus or take them on line. Students can choose their preferred option on a week to week basis. For example, one week the student chooses to attend class on campus but then uses the on line format of the course for the next three weeks. Adult education is becoming a growing business. There are many more options available to the adult learner than ever before. Certain universities seem to be the front runners in adult home study options. Institutions such as Penn Foster, PCDI, and the University of Phoenix offer career specific diplomas, associate degrees, bachelor degrees, master degrees, and some even offer doctorate programs. Fields of study vary from pet groomers, plumbers, landscapers, and teaching assistants to nursing, accounting, and MBA programs. For the adult that never finished high school, a home school diploma can also be earned via a home course as well.

If one is dissatisfied with his or her current career, there is really no reason to stay in that profession and be miserable.
