Breast cancer is never a nice thing to have cancer is a nasty little thing to have and breast cancer is no different. Breast cancer statistics were never any fun to read thanks to rising numbers in the amount of people that had breast cancer back then. It seemed that the high amounts of figures were not going to stop and the amount of research that goes into trying to find a cure would be wasted.
But nowadays it seems that the numbers may be going down. This is more then likely due to the greater awareness of breast cancer and how people can spot the disease early and hopefully be cured sooner. People's hope when they get breast or any kind of cancer is to be scared and highly worried. But the breast cancer statistic show that people are getting better all the time and there is a high rate of being cured.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women today so the threat is very real and the dangers of not checking yourself could lead you into big trouble in the future. There are roughly 1.2 million people who will be diagnosed with breast cancer every year these breast cancer statistic are very worrying and show that everyone is under threat. Even men can get breast cancer and the 1.2 million breast cancer statistics is aimed at men also.
Breast cancer news is always appearing on the national news channels and the news is always about how new cures are being tried and tested on patients that have breast cancer. But it seems like there is never a follow up on breast cancer news, as we never hear anything afterwards.
But it isn't all bad news and worrying times ahead because if you do get breast cancer then the good news is that you have a high chance of survival. Breast cancer statistic show that women under 45 have an 81% chance of survival and for women who are between 45 and 64 the survival rate is 85% and for women over 65+ it is an 86% chance of survival. These breast cancer statistic show that younger women have a lower success rate of survival some people may ask why is this? The answer seems to be that the younger women seem to get a more aggressive breast cancer then women who are older then them. Of course no one is completely sure why this happens but studies are going on all the time to try and find out as much information as possible about breast cancer. Not just a cure but also how it starts and how to detect it even sooner, the sooner you detect it the better chance you have of survival.
When you first hear that you have breast cancer many things will go through your mind and with good reason because cancer is a killer. But the statistics show that you do have a high chance of survival even if you are under 30 years old and even though the panic will be there you have to believe that you will get better because a positive mind will more then likely equal a positive result. The statistics are high on survival rates and that can only be a good thing but cancer is a scary word and it is an even scarier illness.
A cure could be just around the corner and hopefully for the people with breast cancer it is. But it is a hard disease to detect and cure although the researchers are trying their best with the funds that they are given it may become just a matter of time or more years.
