People like to play many kinds of games such as Marco Polo in the swimming pool, board games such as Candyland, Monopoly, Clue, and Trivial Pursuit. However, as great as all of those board games are because they have been played by many generations of people, card games have been played since the Wild West era. Cowboys played many varieties of card games at salons while drinking beer and attempting to pick up a salon girl or two. I am not sure what kinds of card games that cowboys played back in days of Wild West but cowboys probably played a version of both poker and blackjack. In fact, cowboys might have played both poker and blackjack for their property such as their land, their houses, their horses and livestock, and their wives and girlfriends. (I hope I am wrong about cowboys playing both blackjack and poker for their wives and their girlfriends. If that were really correct then, the price of poker and blackjack would be too high for the average Joe but maybe the price wouldn’t be too high for a cowboy who lived in the Wild West drank beer other spirits in a salons, and ate chili out of a tin pie plate, but I hope not. All I hope is that cowboys who lived in the Wild West got much enjoyment fro playing both blackjack and poker but were also were responsible when playing both of these great and fun card games.

It seems as if all modern versions of card games got started in Las Vegas Nevada. The reason it seems like all modern versions of all card games not just poker and blackjack got their start in Las Vegas Nevada was probably due to the fact that in the 1950s Las Vegas got much attention due to the high rolling of the ‘Brat Pack’ that featured Sammy Davis Jr., Dean Martin, and Frank Sinatra. In addition, many people who like to play cards gamble, and eat like to visit Las Vegas Nevada from time to time. In addition, there are many different kinds of blackjack and poker tournaments that people can enter or can be invited to attend. Moreover, there are some blackjack and poker tournaments that are by invitation only. Also, there is a very popular television show that showcases playing poker for various charities such as the Humane Society, Habitat for Humanity, Various cancer prevention organizations, and many organizations that help in the prevention of domestic violence against women. This television program is called Celebrity Poker Showdown; this show recently had a series of poker games that benefited the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Therefore, we see that card games such as blackjack and poker can be fun and pleasurable and they can help people in need of help. Let’s play many hands of blackjack and poker.

This is because the object of blackjack is to obtain twenty one through getting a bunch of cards for a standard fifty two card deck, however, the players can’t go over twenty one or they will go bust. Players can sometimes buy insurance if the dealer has an ace showing because the dealer might already have blackjack. Buying insurance against a dealer’s blackjack isn’t a good idea because in the end it will cost the player more money.
