My sister works with an international courier organization and it always busy traveling from one location to another in Europe. She has visited almost all the places that mean anything in Europe and many times she regales me with tales from different cities. Since she speaks fluent German and French (a pre-requisite for her job) she prefers the countries where these languages are spoken because she can communicate with the locals. She loves to mix around and hence for her communication is an important aspect of comfort.
Among her trips she found the Berlin nightlife the most entertaining. Berlin night clubs, Berlin clubbing is almost incomparable according to her. This must be real great, because she is quite snobbish in her tastes and she gets disappointed very fast even best of the places. I am actually scared to go out with her to any restaurant because she is so touchy about each and everything from the serving ware to the cuisine, that it usually kills my appetite with tension. So, when she says that Berlin nightlife is great - I am very much inclined to believe her.
She has described many Berlin night clubs, Berlin clubbing being one of the most common and of course "happening" side of Berlin nightlife. And I have fallen in love with the place even without seeing it once. I am married and have two daughters; have a very busy life balancing my career and role as a mother - but I have never lost my wish to have a vacation in Berlin, especially to experience the Berlin nightlife.
I am not much of a club and discotheque person, but I love adventure, fun and frolic. These and much more are the trademarks of the Berlin night clubs, Berlin clubbing being the hottest way to enjoy for both young and old.
I keep goading my husband each year to make the trip but the finances do not allow us the freedom of this choice. I am saving quietly for this trip for the last two years and I hope by the next year when we would celebrate our 20th anniversary I will gift him a weekend in Berlin. What better occasion to see and experience the Berlin nightlife than our own wedding anniversary. I have been dreaming for a long time to see this wonderful place and I hope that I will not be disappointed with the raised expectations.
Germany has very high standards of quality and I am sure that quality-wise all that my sister said to me so many times will be true. What I am wondering about is whether the Berlin nightlife is as beautiful as she described.
It remains to be seen - and I will find out in just a few months from now - whether the picture she painted so vividly in my mind is true. I am definitely looking forward to an overdose of Berlin night clubs, Berlin clubbing being in mind for years now. I need to take back with me as much as I can - who knows when next will I be able to visit my dream city again?
While for many this will remain a dream city others have horrible memories of Berlin. With it being in Germany it is not hard to see why, memories of Germans is enough to make anyone want to punch the nearest wall. While my holiday will be a perfect memory I feel sorry for those that get angered by the Germans.
