Beautiful, Relaxing Pompano Beach

Many parts of Florida are beautiful and enticing, but few can compare to Pompano Beach. Amongst the bigger, more recognizable cities, Pompano Beach in Florida seems to be the forgotten one. The name Pompano is also the name of a type of tropical fish that lives in shore, and as the name indicates, the city is infamous for its great fishing. Not a big golf fan? Why not try one of the many spectator sports the area has to offer. From horse tracks to baseball and football, the city has some of each. Pompano Beach in Florida is home to Dolphins Stadium, where both the World Series champs the Florida Marlins play baseball and the 1972 Super bowl champs the Miami Dolphins play football. I have been to the stadium and it's a great place to watch a game. Plus, the city is located only minutes away from where one of Florida's basketball teams, The Miami Heat, and hockey team, The Florida Panthers, play. The city also has the Pompano Harness Track, a large and exciting horseracing complex. But if horse racing and sports isn't your thing, the city has more family friendly act ivies. Pompano Beach has some of Florida's best beaches. Miles and miles of white sand await you and your family. There are also lovely shopping districts and many concert venues. The city hosts an annual Music Under the Stars event at the Pompano Beach amphitheatre. The amphitheatre also hosts many concerts of big name artists like U2 and Dave Matthews Band. Pompano Beach in Florida also has the distinction of being home to the "Stars and Stripes," one of the Good Year Blimps. You can see this blimp buzzing around Florida skies during holidays and often during sporting events.
The city of Pompano Beach in Florida may be one of the least known cities, but by far, one of the more beautiful ones, too. Miles of beautiful sandy beaches await you here. as well as concerts and shopping, sports, golf and big game fishing. Plus, the relatively small community offers a peaceful place to come and relax.
