The Fundy Bay is between the Canadian provinces of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. However, a small portion of the Bay of Fundy does touch the American State of Maine. The name for the Bay of Fundy came from when the Portuguese referred to the bay as Rio Fundo, which means the deep river. So what makes the Bay of Fundy such a sight to see. Well, the answer is simple, and when you see the high and low tide at Fundy Bay you will know what I am talking about. At the Fundy Bay, this place has the biggest change in tidal range of any other place. It is really something cool for you and you family to do together. Pretty much what happens at the Bay of Fundy is that they have three docks that are built really high off the ground. At high tide the Bay of Fundy comes all the way up to the top of the dock. Then at low tide the water goes all the way back out, so far that the dock is not even in the water anymore. It is cool to go to the Bay of Fundy because if you get there at low tide it looks like all the boats are just setting on the ground next to these really high docks. However, when the high tide comes back in the boats will float all the way back up to the top. In fact, at high tide there does not look like there is anything very different at the Bay of Fundy, however, if you stick around until low tide, you will see why there is not Bay like the Bay of Fundy. This is why I think it is a cool spot to go for vacation, however, your family might look at you funny if you say that you are going to go to Fundy Bay for your vacation.

Of course, the Bay was not always called the Bay of Fundy. In fact, it was named Basie Francois by explorer Samuel de Champlain way back in the 1600's. This was during a expedition led by Piere Dugua, Sieur de Monts. However, this expedition just led to the failed settlement attempt on St. Croix Island. Well, you know what they say you cannot win them all. Either way you look at it this is the perfect place to take your family on vacation, because it is not everyday that you get to see a bay that has the biggest changing tidal ranges in the world. Also, it is a good time for you and your family to have a good time together. It is always hard to find a place that will bring you closer together than bring you further apart. It seems like so many of the other vacation spots in the world bring people apart instead of bringing them closer together. That is sad when you think about it because that is what a vacation is about after all. It is a time that you can go and spend with your family, and have a little bit of a break. It is not a vacation when you have to take a vacation after your vacation (pretty much all I am saying is that you do not get any rest at all during your vacation). The Bay of Fundy might be able to change all of that. Now does that not sound like a great vacation.

You have to take your family to the Bay of Fundy, there is no way around it. Most people have not even been to Fundy Bay, and this is your chance to do something that not many people have seen. Over the course of your life don't you want to do a lot of things that other people have not? Don't you want to look back on your life and say that you have lived? Then you need to go to the Bay of Fundy.
