The only clothing optional or nude beaches in the United States that come to mind is Black’s beach in San Diego County, the Red White and Blue beach near Santa Cruz California and of course Baker beach in San Francisco. It is claimed that the reason that there are not many clothing optional or nude beaches in the United States is due to the fact that Americans are not as comfortable with their bodies, nudity, and sexuality as Europeans are. Therefore, there are many clothing optional or nude beaches in Europe in such locations as France, Rome, or Rio de Janeiro. However, if you can’t get to Europe then you may go to Baker beach in San Francisco in order to get a good nudist experience.

Baker beach is a good size beach that is located amidst hard rock cliffs and a stand of sand dunes. The beach is located in The Presidio and is perhaps the most popular and most loved beach in San Francisco. This beach also has great qualities such as its size, its vantage point from the Golden Gate Bride, steep bluffs, and cliffs. The water at this beach also has very deep water which makes it a great place for shore but not a good place for swimming. In addition, there is a chance that you may see a few sharks at this beach so be careful. The North portion of Baker beach is for people who wish to go nude, however, there has also been a lot of people who like to catch a glimpse at nude sunbathers so the experience of going nude on this beach. Only hardcore nudists seem to have a pleasant experience at this beach.

This beach has some good features and it has some bad features as well. There is no charge to go to Baker beach and people can explore the many interesting rock formations at either end of the beach. There are also barbeque grills, restrooms, picnic tables, and places to get drinking water. The beach is open until seven in the evening and dogs are allowed. In addition, The Baker beach apartments offer beautiful views of the beach. However, this beach can be crowded at times and the water is very dangerous for swimmers. In addition, this beach can be very windy and sometimes there are many people who like to get a peek at all of the nude sunbathers on the beach. Therefore, it is advisable that people are comfortable in their own skin before planning a trip to Baker beach.
