The Mon Tsunami is a 20,000 square foot Wave Pool that generates ocean-like waves, and can even send diamond waves cascading over the 300,000 gallon pool. The depths range from zero to six feet deep, so any person of any age can run in and let the fun begin.
For those who wish to brave the wildest of rides and are good swimmers, the Boardwalk Blasters are the place to be. Riders will race down two twenty-five foot long slides find a huge soaking surprise at the end, they will fall seven feet in a free fall and land in a twelve foot deep pool. It is basically as if you were sliding down a tropical river and then falling over its waterfall.
Bringing little ones? This is taken care of; there are over 20,000 gallons of water fun for smaller children. At Wet Willie’s Water Works at the Sandcastle Resort, even the grownups can’t resist joining in the fun. There ropes to pull that will cause water to come splashing down, values to turn, handles that let loose fountains, and tons of waves to make water come splashing out. The Sandcastle water area is heated, so that the temperature will always be comfortable, no matter what the weather. There are literally hundreds of beach chairs, if parents wish to sun while their children play. With lifeguards all around, the lttle ones are sure to be safe. For children to enter this part of the park, they must be under the height of fifty-four inches tall.
Want to just sit in the sun, relax and let a slow current of water bring you all around the park? Not a problem. The Lazy River will do just that, as you ride down atop comfortable inner tubes or rafts. Once you enter this river, you will not want to leave.
In addition, there are countless tube rides, fast slides and crazy inner tube water slides. The Sandbar Pool will be a favorite hang out at the Sandcastle Resort. The sounds of a waterfall will lead you to the lower deck at the Sandbar Pool. There are numerous lounge chairs and very friendly waitress service that will make this a favorite spot to relax and enjoy the sun. The pool in this area of the Sandcastle Resort ranges from zero to three and a half feet deep.
There are places to dine, everywhere you look. You may choose a burger on the go or you may wish to relax in a cool restaurant while you dine. Cold treats and drinks are available around every corner. One of the most amazing features is what is called a Dive-In Movie, and it is just as it sounds. As you float and swim around in a huge pool, there is a huge movie screen that will show a favorite movie. This is the latest way to enjoy a theater. Saturday nights in the summer, will offer Night Swims, and you will find the atmosphere to be so different than during the day. This is defiantly not something to miss at the Sandcastle Resort.
