About 15 years ago, well before the writer of the following article had heard the term 'step aerobics', she heard about how easy it is to engage in that activity. A fellow worker described to the writer how she went up and down on a stepping stool while folding her laundry. The writer has used that story as the basis for her claim that time and space restrictions should not limit anyone's ability to perform step aerobics.
What is cardiovascular fitness? It is the ability of the heart to function effectively as the organ that is responsible for pumping blood through the entire body. How do aerobics help to improve cardiovascular fitness? Aerobic exercises force the body to take-in more oxygen than the body will need to use.
Among the existing aerobic exercises, step aerobics offers a number of special features. First of all, it is easy to find a time and place in which to try doing some step aerobics. A routine that includes step aerobics calls for an exercise that anyone with a small step stool can perform at any time, and in almost any location. By mimicking the actions that the body takes while climbing stairs, one can improve one’s cardiovascular fitness.
Do all aerobic exercises promote cardiovascular fitness? Yes, to a certain degree. Do all aerobic exercises promote cardiovascular fitness to the same degree as step aerobics? No, step aerobics belongs in the group of exercises that demand hard to vigorous activity from the body muscles. Step aerobics can increase oxygen consumption to a level six times greater than oxygen consumption in a resting individual. Studies have shown that people who engage in hard or vigorous exercise have a lower risk for the occurrence of premature death.
Now before the reader of this article launches into an exercise program that includes step aerobics, he or she should make sure that no health condition would be aggravated by such vigorous stepping exercises. The eager reader should consult with a doctor about step aerobics, if any of the following applies: If he or she has ever had a heart attack; if he or she has felt pain or pressure in the left or mid chest area; if he or she has high blood pressure; if he or she has diabetes or adult normal pressure hydrocephalus; if he or she is over 40 and has not been exercising two to three times per week.
Apparently some men and women, who were cautioned to avoid step aerobics, found that deprivation from fitness does not mean deprivation from money. Some men and women have found a way to add to their bank accounts by promoting naked aerobics. This has been done in two different ways.
Some men have developed a web site that shows naked women engaged in some form of aerobic exercise. In contrast to that offering, some women offer an alternate way to picture naked aerobics. Those women have a web site with a special video. In that video a man taking a shower falls through the floor and finds that he is in the middle of an aerobics class.
Parents should encourage outdoor exercise for their younger children, so that they have less chance to discover such disgusting online material.
