Ascension is not just about mourning the death of Jesus. But it also celebrates the life of Jesus. When people think about what Jesus went through for Ascension Day we may forget that he was in the presence of his disciples. The bible of course has all the details about the ascension of Jesus. Christians know about what Jesus went through for Ascension Day. It was not what Jesus wanted obviously but he still had to go through it.
Ascension will always be celebrated by Christians all over the world and they will always remember the life of Jesus. As stated before ascension will be celebrated as much as Christmas Day. Obviously it will not be as greatly celebrated as Christmas Day because of what happened on Ascension Day. Christmas is about the birth of the child of God so to celebrate that is always a happy time and a reason to celebrate.
Jesus died initially on the cross after being severely beaten mainly for his beliefs and calling himself the Son of God. He then resurrected and was discovered by his disciples. His disciples however did not know who this person was until he showed himself as Jesus. Forty days after the resurrection of Jesus he then ascended into heaven on his own power and was in the presence of his disciples as he did this. His disciples saw Jesus go to heaven and they know that he went up to heaven due to his own power and not going through his beliefs.
Jesus was sacrificed by God as many believe and was then brought back only to then go to heaven through his power. But before Jesus went he promised a promise of the second coming and his disciples were told this by Jesus. The second coming is thought to be of angels coming down from the heavens and showing loved ones that they are not dead, but God decided that this person would be better off in heaven instead of on Earth. God did create a perfect place for humans to be and for his children to grow. It takes God a week to make a planet it takes a few bad people to think about destroying it.
When the angels told the disciples about the second coming from Jesus, they said that we will not know the time of his second coming but we will all see him whether we are alive or whether we are dead. The second coming has not happened for many off us, whether it means death or Armageddon but the second coming from Jesus will happen, it's just that we do not know when or how.
The life of Jesus was one that had many obstacles, but Jesus tackled these obstacles but was then brutally murdered for his beliefs. We can now express our beliefs and have the ability to believe in what we want to believe.
