If you are examining the potential for planned weddings, Fairfield would probably not be where you would want to start your examination. Weddings there may not have much chance of success. A look at the comments on match.com suggests that the singles in Fairfield might have difficulty finding a life-long partner.
For example, one of the Fairfield males who have posted a comment on match.com seems to have no interest in weddings. Fairfield's "Clean Cut Brotha" has displayed this comment for the female singles: "I love to chill with my friends...I am not into the Club scene or bars. I like to do things like go to the movies, dinner, walks, just things..."
This "Brotha" does not provide much more detail about the "things" he likes to do. A female would doubtless wonder if his "things" included sex. Fairfield singles seem to shy away from mentioning that subject. Yet one female single does seem to imply an interest in sex. Fairfield men might be aroused by this one comment.
One Fairfield single female put this comment on match.com: "I like to take baths with candles and I think a perfect match for me is a man who will get into the bubbles with me..."
If all of the Fairfield females thought the same way as the above woman, then perhaps many men would be eager to plan weddings. Fairfield men, however, have discovered that not all Fairfield singles are like the woman who wants to cuddle in a bubble bath. Many are like the girl who posted the following comment: "I'm shy at first, but once I get to know you I open up and show who I really am."
A closer look at the comments on match.com shows that many of the women already know quite a bit about marriage. Fairfield females, at least those that have placed comments on match.com, tend to be single mothers. Their comments indicate that they already harbor a strong commitment to their son or daughter. Yet the fact that they are posting comments on match.com underscores their continued interest in marriage. Fairfield men must decide for themselves how to interpret the women's comments.
One woman who has named herself "Butterfly" has the following thoughts on how dating might lead to weddings. Fairfield activities are highlighted in her comments: "I usually spend weekends either hanging out with my kids at the park, playing miniature golf or going to movies."
Another woman, one who has chosen the name "Talk2 Me," makes no attempt to hide the commitment held by many women who have already experienced one of the local weddings. Fairfield men should have no trouble interpreting her comments. She posted this on match.com: "I am a single mother to an 11 year old son. He is first and foremost in my life. I am looking for man with no DRAMA!!!!"
As can be seen from the above comments the potential for the success of a future wedding does not appear that great. Still, there may be in Fairfield one man who fills all of the empty "holes" in the life of one of the above women. Were some lucky woman able to meet that right man then their wedding would be a potential success.
