A Notable Day In America Is US Tax Day

There are some days in America that are not really holidays, but they are notable days. One of these days is the US Tax Day, which is a slang term used to say the last day to turn in your income taxes for employed American residents. This is a day that is usually seen on April 15th, and is by far not a celebration or holiday of any kind. In fact, if you have not turned in your taxes by this time, this is a very unhappy day in which you are rushing to turn in your taxes before you get into trouble with the IRS.

In fact, it is not a holiday or celebration of any kind. In fact, it is just a notable day in America to show when it is the last day to turn in your income taxes. This is a day that usually happens on April 15th. Income tax was first collected during the American Civil War, but it was not collected yearly. It was not until 1913 that income taxes were collected every year. This was due to the 16th Amendment that allowed the United States Congress the legal authority to tax people's income. Of course, US Tax Day use to be on March 1 in 1913, then in got changed to March 15 in 1918. After that US Tax Day was move to April 15, where it has remained ever sense. However, there are a few rules that allow you to turn in your taxes on the next day. For example if US Tax Day falls on an official holiday then it is moved to the very next business day. This is not something that you would think about happening, but it does happen and some places get their US Tax Day pushed back a extra day (those people are lucky).

It is sad that US Tax Day could not be a fun day, but it is something that has to be done. Also, Americans have a long time to get their taxes turned in so it is not like US Tax Day comes out of no where. In fact, you have months to get it turned in. Many people forget to turn it in or are to lazy to get it turned in on time, and that is why US Tax Day is talked about so much. Beside having to get your taxes turned in, there is nothing different about US Tax Day than any other day. As I said before, it is just a slang term used to get people to remember to turn in their taxes. However, most people usually have their taxes turned in before this day even comes. This is because the quicker you get your taxes turned in, the quicker you get your tax money back. However, if you do not get any tax money back (or you have to pay taxes), then it is just a great idea to get it out of the way. So either way people usually have them out of the way early. By doing this you can forget about having to turn them in on US Tax Day and have a normal life. Not getting your taxes turned in on time can really make your life bad. Sometimes the IRS charges a fee for not having your taxes in on time. If you already have to pay money it would be bad to have to pay more.

US Tax Day has nothing fun about it. Most people are not having cookouts or having a great time. Most people are going to work, and trying to get their taxes in on time. It is just another part of life that we all have to deal with. Not everything in life can be fun, and as you can clearly see by US Tax Day that not everything is fun. However, this is how life goes we have to take the cards that are dealt to us. Of course, this all comes with growing up, and having your own life away from your parents. US Tax Day is not fun, but if you are going to have a job this is a day that you are going to have to put up with every year. So the next time you hear US Tax Day, make sure you have your taxes turned in.
