I have always wanted to share this story.  It is kind of a bumble from my own teenage years, and it is a slip of the tongue that went down in history in Britain.  Let me tell you a few things about Britain and scotland nightlife.  There is nothing that can be compared to edinburgh nightclubs, edinburgh clubbing and scotland nightlife in general.  If you are an American, do not miss the chance to learn what pubs, bars and clubs should be all about.  What we have here really kind of sucks!

First, comes my embarrassing mistake.  "Bar hopping" as we know it.  It does not exist.  If you are in Britain, do not even use the phrase "Bar hopping" because townsfolk will look at you like you are insane and then your Americanized term will become the new catch phrase for years to come.  I do not have a name when I am in Britain or doing some edinburgh clubbing-I am known only as "That American who said Bar-rrr-rrr Hopping."  As a quick pointer, suggest you go pub-crawling instead when you tap into scotland nightlife.  Remember that phrase-pub crawling.  It gets you much farther with the locals.  Anything else and you will be spending hours watching them laugh in hysterics at your American accent.

Usually a pub is frequented by the locals, all friendly and willing to share a bit about their town, it's the way to go if you want to experience what life in Scotland is all about.  These are only a couple edinburgh nightclubs.  With so much to see and do, plan more than a long weekend! This will ensure that you get more for your vacation. You will meet so many people that your mobile phone wont be able to accommodate. For the shy person bring a date or a friend.
