Pittsburgh has a high college student population in which many find dating to be no problem. The host of the event will time the “dates” and ring a bell or set a buzzer for when it is time to move on to the next date. Speed dating has become an easy icebreaker especially for the shy singles attending the event.
Aside from the many dating and social networking services in the city of Pittsburgh, the city government is beginning to make major changes to the city itself. Pittsburgh will always be the “Steel City” and very industrialized, but the local government is implementing such changes to make the area more appealing to its permanent residents and visitors alike. The many changes include urbanizing the city and making it more chic. There has been a recent uprise in the amount of nightclubs, bars, and restaurants. The Pittsburgh single has it his or her fingertips just about any venue to meet other singles. Not only can singles meet each other at the usual places – bars and nightclubs, but at museums, charity functions, and the parks in the city.
