I think one of the funniest people in Hollywood would have to be Jack Black, and the good thing about that is the fact that he has been in a lot of movies. In fact, one of my favorite movies of all time would have to be School of Rock that came out in 2003. This movie was a comedy and was directed by Richard Linklater, which is another reason I think this movie did great.
