Another thing that I would like to do is: own my own Restaurant. I have several ideas for resaurants, ranging from a takeout hamburger/steak shop to a Banquet hall and Restaurant.
Most of my ideas have come from the places I have either worked at or have eaten at and would like to own something similar. But I know what I would have on the menus for my reastaurants.
Here are 2 of my restaurant ideas.
1) My Hamburger/Steak Take out shop Idea: This Idea is similar to most fastfood burger places and/or takeout steak shops. to those who have been to Philadelphia it would be similar to "Geno's" or "Pat's". Or for a nationally known brand company: "J's Steaks and Subs" and combine say a "Mc Donalds" and "Subway".
2) My Restaurant and Banquet Hall Idea: Is to combine a classy restaurant with a Banquet Hall. The other part of this idea is to have Dinner and Dancing in the Main Ball Room every week on either a Firday or Saturday Night. And each week it would be a different theme. For example one week it would be Country music and line dancing and dinner,then the next week it would be Oldies Night. Then the week after that Jazz and Big Band night, then the week after that, Disco Night, Etc..... Then repeat the theme nights.
I think something like this idea #2 would be very popular for all ages especialy the theme nights in the Main Ball Room. It all depends on Location,Location,Location. It would have to be near a city or an area with a good size population,easy to get to,and be near other attractions.
I have an Idea of what I would have on the menu at the Restaurant and Banquet hall. Here are just some of the items I am thiking of having on the menu.
The menu would include:
Beef: New York Strip Steak,T-Bone Steak,Porterhouse Steak
Seafood: Salmon Steak,Cod Fillet,Halibut,Shrimp,Scallops
Pasta dishes: Stuffed shells,Stuffed Manicotti,Spaghetti,Lasagna
Salads: Chef's,Garden
Soups: Chicken noodle,Cream of chicken,Cream of broccoli,French onion,Manhatan Clam Chowder,Cream of Potato and leek,Chili
Chicken,Pork and Veal Dishes: Chicken Cordon Bleu, Grilled Chicken Breast,Chicken marsala,Chicken Parm, Veal Parm,Veal Marsala,Broiled Pork Chops,Grilled Ham steak
Vegetables: Peas,Carrots,Broccoli,Green Beens,Corn,Rice, Baked Potato,Mashed Potatoes,Sweet Potatoes
Drinks: Water,Soda,Milk,Wine,Coffee,Tea
Dessert: Pie,Cake,Pudding,Ice Cream
Of course these are just some of the menu ideas I have. There would some additions or some subtractions depending on the location of the Restaurant and availability of the food items. I would also have some daily menu specials.
The ambiance of the restaurant is not quite 5 star dining and not exactly casual. But in between. It is a place Where you would dress up to go to, but not in tuxedos or fancy suits. It is more of a Casual Dressed Up or Dressed Up Casual. Example would be ; for the men to wear a sport coat with a dress shirt or a nice polo shirt and casual pants like Dockers or chinos.
The interior would be a mix of styles. Blending a modern styling with a old European styling, with a warm feeling of family closeness and comfort to it. It would be nice place to go for a romantic dinner for two, or a family dinner for 10.
